Ninja free pattern


NINJA

Two pictures of my completed Ninja that the children have named Nigel;





I used;

3.5 (US size E)
Rico Creative Cotton Aran 
Black 90    (MC main colour)
Salmon 71  (SC secondary colour)
Needle 
Polyester Stuffing
2 Safety Eyes 10mm

Dc = Double Crochet (US single crochet)
Inc = Increase
Dec = Decrease
Sl St = Slip stitch
Ch = Chain

All stitches used are DC

Head and body

1 : Dc 6 into ring (magic Ring)
2 : (Inc) repeat total 12 stitches
3 : (Dc Inc) repeat total 18 stitches
4 : (Dc Dc Inc) repeat total 24 stitches
5 - 7 : Dc total 24 stitches
8 : (Dc Dc Dec) repeat total 18 stitches
9 : (Dc Dec) repeat total 12 stitches
10 : (Dc Inc) repeat total 18 stitches
11 : (Dc Dc Inc) repeat total 24 stitches
12 : (Dc Dc Dc Inc) repeat total 30 Stitches
13 : (Dc Dc Dc Dc Inc) repeat total 36 Stitches
14 : (Dc Dc Dc Dc Dc Inc) repeat total 42 Stitches
15 - 23 : Dc total 42 Stitches 
Tie off you should have something looking like this



Legs (Make 2)

1 : Dc 6 into ring (magic ring)
2 : (Inc) repeat total 12 stitches
3 - 6 : Dc total 12 stitches
Tie off, you should have something looking like this


Feet (Make 2)

1 : Ch 16
2 : Dc 15 from second Ch from hook
3 - 5 : Ch turn Dc 15
6 : Turn Sl St 5 Ch1 & Dc into last Sl St then Dc7
7 - 18 Ch turn Dc 7
Should look like this 

To complete the feet attach narrow side top of T shape like this; 


Then sew one end shut, stuff then close second end like this;


ARMS (Make 2)

1 : Dc 6 into ring (magic Ring)
2 : (Inc) repeat total 12 stitches
3 : (Dc Inc) repeat total 18 stitches
4 : (Dc Dec) repeat total 12 stitches
5 - 8 : Dc total 12 stitches
9 : (Dec) repeat total 6 stitches
10 : (Inc) repeat total 12 stitches
11 : (Dc Inc) repeat total 18 stitches
12 - 13 : Dc total 18 stitches
14 : (Dc Dec) repeat total 12 stitches
15 : Dc total 12 stitches

Sew hole to leave a flat edge only. Stuff the arm not the hand, pop a stitch into the wrist to stop the stuffing from moving.  Should look like this;


Top of the head 

1 : Dc 6 into ring (magic Ring)
2 : (Inc) repeat total 12 stitches
3 : (Dc Inc) repeat total 18 stitches
4 : (Dc Dc Inc) repeat total 24 stitches
5 : (Dc Dc Dc Inc) repeat total 30 Stitches
6 : (Dc Dc Dc Dc Inc) repeat total 36 Stitches
7 : (Dc Dc Dc Dc Dc Inc) repeat total 42 Stitches



Should look like this;


Face

This uses the SECONDARY COLOUR
1 : Ch17
2 : Dc 16 from second Ch from hook
3 - 5 : Turn Ch1 Dc 16

Dc in Main Colour around edge.
Should look like this;




Now attach everything together, I would recommend leaving the top of the head till last as it makes it a lot easier to attach the face

When you have (dc dc inc) do you mean that I would need to "dc" once in the next two stitches and then twice in the third stitch? also is the decrease over two stitches or one? This is the first uk pattern i am attempting. thanks for your patience.

Yes (dc dc inc) is dc in each of the next two stitches followed by two dc in the next stitch. The decreases over over 2 stitches :) Hope that helps :)
